Noisettes de coco caramel - Kokos-Karamelbällchen

Coconuts can be found almost everywhere in West Africa and Cameroon

Ingredients

  • 200g fresh peeled coconut
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 couple of drops of lemon or other flavorings (optional)

Instructions 

  • Finely grate the coconut using a grater
  • Put the water in a pot and bring it to a boil
  • Add the sugar and continue cooking until the water thickens
  • Add the shredded coconut and flavorings and continue stirring until it becomes a golden mass
  • Remove from the heat and let cool briefly
  • Then don't form them into balls. Done

Notes

The little balls taste wonderful with coffee or as an accompaniment to various desserts
