Sûp Chuem | Tomato sauce accompaniment to the chuem

Ingredients

  • 600g Ready -to-cook Lamb Goulash
  • 400g tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Magic Sauce (or your own spice mix)
  • approx. 50 ml cooking oil
  • Salt

Instructions 

  • Wash the meat, drain well and set aside
  • Heat oil in a pot and add the finely chopped onions, garlic paste and salt, and sauté until the onions are translucent
  • Then add the meat and Magic Sauce, mix well and fry partially covered for about 5 minutes
  • Add the tomatoes and sauté for about 10 minutes, stirring regularly, until the tomatoes start to stick slightly to the bottom of the pot
  • Add a little water and simmer for another 5 minutes, until the meat is tender
  • Remove from the oven, serve with your choice of side dish and enjoy

Notes

Diese "trockene" Tomatensauce Variante wird bei den Bamun oft zu Pèhn Chuem ( Fufu mit Kürbisblättersauce) als Beilagen Sauce. Kann aber auch genauso gut zu anderen Beilagen wie Fufu, Reis, Nudeln,... serviert werden.
